On Tuesday night, we celebrated the Chamber's Annual Awards Dinner & Gala. We were honored to have the chance to recognize and award the very best of business in Nassau County for 2018. Below are the winners in each category.

Congratulations to everyone who took home an award! We are truly honored to have such incredible people and businesses as members of the Nassau County Chamber of Commerce!

Large Business of the Year: Quality Health of Fernandina Beach

“Quality Health of Fernandina Beach has remained a staple in the community for over 35 years providing both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care to Nassau County residents. With a strong commitment to the community, there are over 40 volunteers that work together with the staff to keep the residents connected and involved with their individual lifestyles.”

Medium Business of the Year: Nana Teresa's Bake Shop

“Teresa Markarian and her team at Nana Teresa's Bake Shop have been an amazing part of our community for the past 4 years. Personally, I know that anytime Teresa is approached to help or participate in an event or fundraiser or donate, that she always steps up.”

Small Business of the Year: Story & Song Bookstore Bistro

“In less than a year, Story & Song Bookstore Bistro has become an integral part of the Amelia Island/Nassau County community, not only by championing locally-owned independent businesses, but also by bringing people together for conversation, culture, and the arts.”

Green Business of the Year: Traders Hill Farm

“Their aquaponics process combines aquaculture (raising fish) and hydroponics (growing plants in water without soil) to cultivate and harvest year-round in a controlled zero-waste environment that eliminates the need for pesticides, herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.”

Nonprofit Business of the Year: Micah's Place

“They continue to provide valuable services to the community and are expanding their shelter due to the increased demand for their services. They are vital to the well being of our community and North Atlantic Painting is proud to provide free painting services in support of their shelter.”

Customer Service Professional of the Year: Eric Belley with North Atlantic Painting Company

“Eric developed a 2-Day Quote Guarantee to combat the perception in the trades that contractors are not responsive to the needs of potential customers.”

Young Business Leader of the Year: Heather Bennett with Paisley Grace Makery

"...has worked hard to establish her business and is constantly evolving to adapt to new trends."

Business Leader of the Year: Brian Henning with Edward Jones

“Brian leads by example. He is an excellent example of a business leader that carries himself with integrity and professionalism and would be the perfect candidate for this nomination.”
