New Tax Credits Available for Florida Businesses Offering Childcare Support
Businesses in Nassau County now have an opportunity to support their employees with childcare expenses while receiving valuable tax credits. Thanks to a new law signed earlier this year, companies that provide childcare solutions—either on-site or within the community—can take advantage of these benefits.
For businesses that establish an on-site childcare facility, a tax credit of up to $3,600 per employee is available, along with an additional credit covering 50% of startup costs. Companies that help cover the costs of childcare at local facilities also qualify for credits, with larger businesses eligible for higher overall credits.
The state has allocated $5 million annually for the next three years to fund these tax credits, but this opportunity may not extend beyond that—so it’s a use-it-or-lose-it situation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for Nassau County businesses to invest in their employees' well-being while taking advantage of financial incentives.
