$1,000 Start-Ups Relocating to Nassau County Council on Aging

Fernandina Beach, FL (September 20, 2024) The local non-profit organization, $1,000 Start-Ups, Inc announces the relocation on October 1, 2024 of their office from 212 S. 8th St. to 1901 Island Walkway Suite # 107, Fernandina Beach. The new office will be located inside the Nassau County Council on Aging.

“While we’ve enjoyed our current location with the great aroma’s from T-Rays next door, we are excited to have access to more parking and to a conference room for workshops for our Cohort and meetings with our partners,” says Leah-Ward Lee, Co-Founder & Executive Director 

$1,000 Start-Ups is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, founded in 2020, working to increase economic opportunities and reduce barriers to successful business ownership for members of traditionally underserved communities.

$1,000 Start-Ups has supported the launch of 63 businesses, with over 90% still in operation. The 9-month program is delivered live via Zoom to increase accessibility and provides entrepreneurship, financial management, and life skills training, along with up to $1,000 in start-up funding.
