Congressman Bean to Join Influential House Ways and Means Committee

WASHINGTON—U.S. Congressman Aaron Bean (FL-04) has been selected to serve on the prestigious House Ways and Means Committee for the 119th Congress.

The Committee on Ways and Means is the oldest committee of the United States Congress and is the chief tax-writing committee in the House of Representatives. The Committee exercises jurisdiction over taxes, trade, health care, Social Security, and welfare.

“It is a tremendous honor to serve on the Ways and Means Committee. With a $36 trillion debt, historically high inflation, and the largest pending tax increase in history, this is a critical time for our nation. I am eager to work with Chairman Smith and the Committee to advance a bold agenda that supports working families, lowers taxes, and accelerates our economy. Let’s go get’em,” said Congressman Bean.

“I want to extend a warm welcome to Representative Aaron Bean to the Ways and Means Committee. The next two years are pivotal for America’s economy as we extend the Trump tax cuts and enact President Trump’s pro-worker, pro-growth agenda. Rep. Bean’s background as a successful Florida small business owner will help us craft the right policies that set up small businesses across the country to thrive. In the 119th Congress, Ways and Means Republicans will work to swiftly help families who have been hurt by the last four years of inflation and uncertainty,” said Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith.
