Pledge the Pink Amelia Island: Volunteer Today
In case you’ve missed the big news, Amelia Island is hosting Pledge the Pink in just two weeks. More than 2000 registrants and supporters will be flocking here to run, walk, and crawl 30 miles and raise 750k (much of which will stay in our local area). The long weekend is packed with activities outside of the actual “race” itself: PJ karaoke, butterfly release, live auction (want to donate something?), dance parties, kite flying contests, obstacle course races, and daily finish line parties in Main Beach Park.
More than 50 volunteer positions are still available if you’re interested in being a part of the shenanigans. Pass out Gatorade, direct registrants along the courses, distribute the finish line medals, help set up the enormous display of 7500 plastic flamingos, dress up your dog, and play some music along the routes. The options are endless (and so much fun).
If you would like to register as a walker or runner, a few spots will be available on Friday, Oct 18 before the race starts at 8am. Go to Main Beach Park and sign up for the Best Darn Weekend of Your Life!
