FSCJ to Open Nassau Center Truck Driving Facility

WHAT:

Florida State College at Jacksonville (FSCJ) will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to unveil its new Commercial Vehicle Driving program at the Nassau Center. Leaders from FSCJ and Nassau County will convene to celebrate the project and the opportunities it will bring for residents in the area.

The project was created through a $3.2 million Florida Job Growth Grant from the Florida Department of Commerce.

The grant funds have allowed FSCJ to expand in Nassau County by securing industry-standard equipment and tools, building a state-of-the-art driving pad and provide hands-on training to nearly 400 students annually. These students will be equipped to enter the high-wage commercial vehicle driving field upon program completion.
