Chamber to Host EmpowHER Expo & Luncheon September 23rd
Featuring Guest Speaker Melissa Nelson, State Attorney, 4th Judicial Circuit
The Nassau County Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the upcoming EmpowHER Expo & Luncheon on Monday, September 23, 2024 from 11:30-1:00 PM, at the Residence Inn Amelia Island, located at 2301 Sadler Road in Fernandina Beach.
EmpowHER is a Professional Women’s Network that enhances the personal and professional growth of businesswomen in Nassau County. Luncheons include guided roundtable discussions on trending topics, an inspiring speaker, and mentoring and partnership opportunities that will help drive careers.
In celebration of American Businesswomen’s Day, the September luncheon will include vendors representing woman-owned businesses throughout Nassau County, showcasing goods and services to attendees ahead of the luncheon.
The guest speaker for the September EmpowHER Expo & Luncheon is State Attorney Melissa Nelson. Melissa Nelson took office as the State Attorney for Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit in January 2017 and was re-elected in 2021 and 2025 without opposition. She leads more than 300 attorneys, staff, and investigators in their pursuit of justice. Since taking office, she has implemented policies to strengthen public safety and incapacitate dangerous individuals while establishing needed smart justice reforms and initiatives that have saved taxpayers, increased transparency, and protected the community. Nelson sits on several local and national boards, including ATF’s National Crime Gun Intelligence Governing Board and Florida’s Cold Case Advisory Commission. She earned her undergraduate and law degree from the University of Florida and is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
Tickets for the EmpowHER Expo & Luncheon are $30.00 for Chamber of Commerce members and $50.00 for prospective members. Advanced payment and registration are required in order to attend this event.
