Nassau County Local Arts Agency Applications Open

The Board of County Commissioners of Nassau County, Florida, recognizes the importance of the arts in enriching the lives of our citizens and in attracting tourism, new residents, and new business to Nassau County, and in the development of our youth through arts education. Therefore, Nassau County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting applications for the designated local arts agency (LAA). The LAA will provide a focal point through one group to represent the arts community county wide, working to improve the appreciation, awareness and cultural opportunities of all the arts in the community by promoting and enhancing the arts.

The LAA may be eligible for funds collected through the sale of specialty plates through the Florida Arts License Plate Program, which are distributed to the County to support arts organizations, programs, and activities within that county.  The county must designate a recipient organization to help administer these funds to support arts activities within that county. Any arts organization interested in applying can do so at this link before Friday, September 20, 2024.

The LAA will be required to sign a funding agreement, and the designation will be valid for three (3) years. The designation of the LAA shall be assigned or revoked in the exclusive judgment of the Board of County Commissioners.
