Seeking Volunteers for Construction Board of Adjustments & Appeals

Nassau County is currently seeking two (2) volunteers to fill vacancies on the Construction Board of Adjustments & Appeals. The purpose of this Board is to hear and decide on appeals of decisions and code interpretations made by the Building Official and the Fire Official relating to the Florida Building Codes, National Electric Code, Fire Codes and the Unsafe Building Abatement Ordinance. 

We are seeking one volunteer for the two following backgrounds/occupations:

• General Contractor
• Fire related

Each member must be a resident of Nassau County and cannot be a current County employee. Members will serve two year terms from June 1, 2024 through May 31, 2026. Meetings are held on an as-needed basis. Members do not receive compensation for their service.
