Axia Awards PR Scholarship to Minnesota Student
With local offices at 2338 S. 8th St., Axia Public Relations awarded Adham Mohamed, a University of Minnesota student, its 2023-2024 public relations scholarship. He is president of the university's Public Relations Student Society of America chapter, and Public Relations Society of America volunteer judges selected him because of his academic achievements and service.
Students who receive the $2,000 scholarship demonstrate their PR passion through volunteering, internships and employment experiences and practice professional ethics and standards. They also must have financial need.
"I am determined to use my drive and passion to make a difference in the world, and I am confident that this scholarship [will] be a huge step toward making my dreams a reality,” Mohamed said. "As a dreamer, I have always believed in the power of storytelling and its ability to inspire, educate and entertain people from all walks of life."
Jason Mudd, Axia’s founder, said the monetary gift strengthens the profession and is an investment in tomorrow's PR leaders. Axia funds the annual scholarship in partnership with the PRSA, the PRSA Foundation and the PRSSA.
