Amateur Radio (HAM) Technician Course

Are you interested in being an Amateur Radio Operator? Not only is Ham Radio a lot of fun, you can stay better informed about things going on in your community. 

Nassau County Amateur Radio Emergency Services (NC-ARES) is hosting a free course where you can obtain an FCC License. The course will consist of weekly classes beginning on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 7:00-9:30 p.m. The course ends on November 1, 2023 with your official FCC exam.

No prior experience or technical knowledge is necessary. All courses will be held in the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) located at 77150 Citizens Circle, Yulee. 

Please note that the course is free, however there is a $15 ARRL fee for the test. Plus, the FCC will charge you $35 for your new license. Those are the only expenses you will incur for participating in the course.
