Hurricane Idalia Update
The ICW/Thomas Shave, Jr. Bridge is not scheduled to close. The Shave Bridge will be monitored as wind speeds increase. If the wind exceeds 39 mph, sustained for more than one minute, law enforcement will suspend the flow of traffic until the sustained winds drop below 39 mph.
Nassau County beach driving will be suspended as of 9 p.m. Tuesday, 8/29/2023, and will remain suspended for the duration of the storm. An announcement will be made when the driving suspension has been lifted.
The next news release will be Wednesday morning.
