Managing Time and Stress in the Workplace On average people lose 1.5 months a year, or an hour a day. This program analyzes how much control we have over our day, i.e. emails, meetings, interruptions, and how to go about reclaiming lost time. It offers smart techniques to minimize stress and not only manage time better but analyze the misconceptions around time that sabotage both efficiency and peace of mind. We look at smart tools (batching, worst first approach, email withdrawal), tips to say no or set smarter boundaries and effective ways to control constant interruptions. Discussions also focus on a “time friendly” environment, using the six-minute rule and understanding productivity is interdependent on the ability to impact and manage work processes that are often cross-functional and how to influence those involved in the processes. Delegation is also discussed as an integral part of effective time management. Take-aways include how to: Identify the factors that limit quality, slow service time and increase costs Develop results-oriented solutions that will yield improved business results Utilize tools to manage and analyze work flow Manage the people and meetings that disrupt time flow Understand habits and their effect on your productivity Get more accomplished in less time Better manage stress and interruptions Event Speaker Jennifer Webb To register: http://web.islandchamber.com/events/chamberevents.aspxManaging-Time-and-Stress-in-the-Workplace-with-Jennifer-Webb-4971/details About the instructor: Jennifer Webb is an internationally recognized motivational speaker, author, consultant, trainer and coach, one of a prestigious group of women using magic as a technique to inspire, motivate and educate.
